Use of Community Meeting Place

Intent

The Meeting Place provides a valuable community space for Community functions, and an informal meeting space for residents and for use by lot owners for private family functions.

The Meeting Place comprises a Hall with some tea and coffee making facilities, microwave oven, a small refrigerator and washing up facilities. The area around the hall contains a village-green, garden beds, tree plantings and quiet sitting areas.

There is also a gas BBQ, pizza oven and fire pit.

The intent in providing these facilities is to create a communal space for the use of residents their family and friends.

Informal meetings

The facilities provide an opportunity for informal meetings between neighbours with the opportunity to share a tea or coffee. There are also some quiet sitting areas for reading, quite conversation or contemplation.

Formal Community Gatherings

The facilities also provide a valuable space for the formal operation of the community Owners Corporation. Where meetings can be conducted with audio-visual equipment and some storage facilities for OC records.

The Meeting Place also provides the opportunity for the community to hold regular and seasonal functions and for individuals to organise a community event of special interest.

Formal Private Functions

This enables lot owners to reserve the facilities for a private family function. The facilities can only be reserved through a formal application to the Owners Corporation Committee. Click here for the booking form
